Heliopolis was a plane where the deities of the Mulhorandi pantheon resided.[4]

Great Wheel cosmology[edit | edit source]

In the Great Wheel cosmology, Heliopolis was more specifically the name of a joint realm of three Mulhorandi deities in Arcadia's second layer of Buxenus. It was comprised of Thekele-Re, ruled by Horus-Re (and Ra before him[5][note 1]), Gizekhtet by Isis, and Memphiria, governed by Osiris.[6][7][8]

Notes[edit | edit source]

  1. In Planescape material, Ra had Thekele-Re as his realm, while Horus roamed all of Heliopolis. According to Powers & Pantheons, Horus-Re, who emerged after the death of Re, Mulhorandi incarnation of Ra, ruled Thekele-Re.
