Hide armor was a type of armor used on Toril.
Description[]
Hide armor was made from animal skins, pelts and furs.[5] It was thicker and heavier than leather armor.[6] Although hard to move in,[7] hide armor was not so thick as to hinder speed.[6]
Materials[]
The hides of bears, griffons and dragons were commonly used for such armor.[6]
In Chult, velociraptor hide was used for crafting sturdy and flexible hide armor that was in high demand among rangers.[8]
History[]
Lacerials introduced the idea of hide armor to the Nubari inhabitants of Malatra.[9]
