The Hobgoblin language was the racial language of hobgoblins, a race of goblinoids.[2][3]

Speakers[]

Beyond hobgoblins themselves, Hobgoblin was to varying extents a common secondary language among bugbears,[4][5] flinds,[6] gnolls,[7][8] goblins,[9][10] orcs,[11] and half-orcs.[12]

Derivations[]

Koalinth
A rather unusual sounding[2] dialect spoken by the aquatic cousins of hobgoblins,[2][13][14] koalinths.[2][3][13][14]
Northern Wastes
The hobgoblins of the Northern Wastes spoke a dialect of Hobgoblin that was similar to, though distinct from, that spoken in Faerûn.[15]
