The House of Tears was the temple to Ilmater in the city of Zazesspur in Tethyr. It also contained the chapter house for the Order of Ilmater's Brethren.[1]

The temple was located in the Market District of the High City.[1]
Structure[]
The chapter house for the Order of Ilmater's Brethren was a three-story building built in the Tashalaran style. It was kept in pristine condition.[1]
Interior[]
The chapter house was lit with lanterns. The light from these illuminated a stained glass window that depicted Ilmater's bound hands on a field of yellow. It contained a healing chamber with a marble examination table.[2] The complex was large enough to hold 60 clerics and 200 other worshipers of Ilmater.[1]
Services[]
The chapter house offered healing and resurrection services.[2]
Inhabitants[]
The brothers at the complex were led by Father Akkar Donatus, who led the faithful there in daily rituals.[1]
History[]
In the Year of the Staff, 1366 DR, Zaranda Star visited the chapter house, hoping that her friend Father Pelletyr could be resurrected. She was informed, however, that members of the Order of Ilmater's Brethren took oaths forbidding such divine magic.[2]
