The Hungtse River[note 1] was one of the largest rivers on Toril, spanning over a thousand miles across both the Hordelands and Kara-Tur.[1][2][3]
Within the territories of the Hordelands, the river was often referred to as the Upper Hungtse River.[1][2][3]
Geography[]
The Hungtse originated in the A-Ling Shan mountains from glacial runoff from the Glacier of the Dragon. It flowed west to east, crossing the large expanse of the Katakoro Plateau and many provinces in Shou Lung before ultimately emptying into the Celestial Sea near the metropolis of Karatin.[1][2][3]

Notes[]
- ↑ The alternate spelling of "Hungste" is seen in various sourcebooks and maps, but this is believed to be an inconsistency.
