Ilnabbath was an apprentice Red Wizard of Thay in the mid-to-late 14th century DR.[1]

Must've ... been carrying ... feather tokens ... or the like,
— Ilnabbath of Thay, 1369 DR[1][note 1]

Personality[]

He was really worried about his fellow apprentices killing him.[1]

Relationships[]

He was apprenticed to Azmyrandyr.[1]

History[]

In the Year of the Gauntlet, 1369 DR, the Simbul assaulted a temple of Shar somewhere in Thay where the Red Wizard Azmyrandyr was preparing for an intrigue. This was a revenge attack after Azmyrandyr participated in an attack on Silverymoon. During her attack, Azmyrandyr and his apprentices were rehearsing the impersonation of several notables from Nimpeth.[1]

Ilnabbath and Marlus Belraeblood arrived at the scene of the fight after Azmyrandyr and the four apprentices who were with him had been slain; the first ran off to sound an alarm, only to be eliminated with a single fireball on the spot.[1]

Notes[]

  1. What exactly Ilnabbath means by this observation is unknown, as none of the feather tokens, whether in Dungeon Master's Guides or in expanded sources, has any effect that would be observable in the situation he comments on.
