Improved blink, also known as greater blink,[2] was a transmutation spell that functioned exactly like blink, except that it allowed the caster to control the timing of travel between the Ethereal and Prime Material planes.[1][2]
Effects[]
When cast, a thick fog appeared to the caster's view, and the caster could feel the closeness of the Ethereal plane.[2] By using this spell, the caster could choose to blink just before being struck by a weapon, spell, or spell-like ability. This applied to people and creatures that inhabited both planes of existence.[1]
The effects of the spell lasted for half a minute or longer but could be dismissed at any time by the caster.[1][5]
Components[]
The spell required only somatic and verbal components.[1][5]
