Jason Thompson is an illustrator and writer who has worked for Wizards of the Coast and contributed to the Forgotten Realms. He is notable for his complex, cartoony maps in a wimmelbilderbuch style.

Jason wrote and illustrated the adventure The Barber of Silverymoon in Dragon+ 12 to showcase monsters from Volo's Guide to Monsters. He also wrote and illustrated the adventure Six Faces of Death in Dragon+ 21 to showcase monsters from Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes. He illustrated a walkthrough of Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden in Dragon+ 35. An illustration of the Yawning Portal by Jason appeared in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist.
