Jazirat al-Gawwar was an island in Nada al-Hazan in the Crowded Sea.[1]
Rumors & Legends[]
A variety of rumors surrounded the island. Some believed it was overrun with evil creatures, others that it was a secret fortress of the Brotherhood of the True Flame or a stronghold of the holy slayers sect known as Wordless Ones. Some believed that it was granted to genies by the First Caliph in return for the secrets of making ships. And finally, some claimed that it was the last outpost of the fallen empires of Nog and Kadar.[1]
