Jerot Galgin was a Neverwintian aristocrat and necromancer in the late 15th century DR. He secretly led a cult devoted to Vecna.[1]
Relationships[]
Jerot concealed his life as a cult leader from his friends and family. He believed that keeping these details hidden from those close to him was another way to honor Vecna, the god of secrets.[1]
Jerot had a loyal nothic assistant named Maszundrin who spoke Common.[1]
History[]
Jerot lived all his life in Neverwinter. He secretly cultivated a profound devotion to Vecna and amassed extensive knowledge on necromancy over the years.[1]
By the late 1490s DR,[note 1] Jerot and his cult kidnapped Eldon Keyward, Indrina Lamsensettle, Sarcelle Malinosh, and Umberto Noblin, believing they possessed valuable secrets that could be drained and sacrificed to his dark god. He kept them in the Waterclock Guild's Crypts, in Neverdeath. In response to these kidnappings, Lord Dagult Neverember dispatched adventurers to rescue the victims.[1]

Notes[]
- ↑ Canon material provides conflicting information for the date of the events described in Vecna: Eve of Ruin and its prequel adventure, Vecna: Nest of the Eldritch Eye. Both adventures use the eruption of Mount Hotenow (in 1451 DR) as a reference: Eve of Ruin states that the eruption "nearly destroyed the city forty years ago" (p. 17), placing it circa 1491 DR, while Nest of the Eldritch Eye states the eruption to have happened "fifty years ago", placing it circa 1501 DR despite being the prequel. Unless a canon source provides clarity, this wiki will use "1490s DR" to refer to the dates of these adventures.
