Jervaan was the Grand Bloodreaver of the Scourged Legion bloodreavers and chief of its Cult of Garagos in the late 15th century DR.[1]
Description[]
Jervaan was a dun-brown tanarukk. He wore a tentacus pendant on his neck as a worshiper of Garagos.[2]
Activities[]
Jervaan was a devoted priest of Garagos who fervently introduced the exarch's faith to the Scourged Legion, spreading it throughout their ranks. Contrary to his deity's traditional faith group being humans, Jervaan guided non-humans to be bloodreavers, such as orcs, half-orcs, and the occasional goblin or kobold.[1] He guided the bloodthirsty, sadistic, and ardent Scourged Legion bloodreavers of his cult in inciting berserker rage in their allies and spreading the fear of Garagos to their enemies.[1] He also led the religious rite called the Blood Festival, which involved feasting on a freshly slain sacrifice.[1]
He also sought to replace Ghiirvox as the high warchief and leader of the Scourged Legion, and Ghiirvox suspected it.[2]
History[]
Since Jervaan introduced the Master of All Weapons' faith to the Scourged Legion, targaats—tanarukks with extra arms—were born rarely in every generation of tanarukks within Ammarindar.[3]
For the Scourged Legion, he used unearthed dwarven manufactured artifacts to summon the fallen Ammarindar dwarven warriors' spirits to fight for them.[3]
Circa 1479 DR, he cautiously smuggled many bloodreavers into the slums of Braeryn in Menzoberranzan to prepare for the Scourged Legion's future invasion.[1]
