Jhastan was a skilled fighter and member of the Black Gauntlet, an adventuring company based out of Starmantle active during the 13th century DR.[1][2]

Jhastan was with the Black Gauntlet when they slew the mighty green dragon Chathuulandroth in his lair. He met his end later at the hands of a demon that was summoned improperly.[1][2]
