Jisaron was the son of Sheikh Ibrin of the House of Hotek tribe in the Haunted Lands of interior Zakhara around 1367 DR.[note 1][1]

Jisaron was a skilled desert rider and a dutiful son. He spent a lot of time wandering the deep desert to avoid confrontations with Amene who he feared might become his stepmother.[1]
