Kartok Paingiver was an orc warband leader of the kingdom of Many-Arrows in the late 15th century DR.[1]
History[]
When the Many-Arrows orcs occupied the River District[note 1] of Neverwinter in the late 1470s DR, Kartok was among the warband leaders behind the takeover of the former Merchant Square. He based himself and his soldiers in the old Merchant Guild Hall, which the orcs repaired and fortified.[1]
In the Year of the Ageless One, 1479 DR, when the Neverwinter Guard attempted to retake the district, Captain Janros sent an adventurer to invade the guildhall and slay Kartok.[1]

Moreover, the game introduces its own River District in The Cloaked Ascendancy located south of the Neverwinter River, which the Neverwinter Campaign Setting page 139 has north of the river.
