Kura was a painter who lived in the city of Port Nyanzaru in Chult during the late 15th century DR.[1]

Kura was married to the Ekene-Afa, one of the merchant princes of Port Nyanzaru. The couple had two twin sons named Soshen and Tiryk, both of whom were named after Chultan rivers. [1]
