Lake Tezca was one of the four lakes surrounding Nexal in Maztica. It was dedicated to the Maztican god Tezca.[1]
Description[]
Lake Tezca was on the south side of Nexal, between the city and Mount Zatal, the volcano that loomed over Nexal. To its northeast it was separated from Lake Zaltec by the road to Palul and on its northwest it was separated from Lake Qotal by the desert road.[1] Since it was on the south side, facing the sun and leading to the desert, it was named after Tezca, the Maztican sun god.[2]
History[]
Following the destruction of Nexal, Zaltec himself took physical form in the city and walked across the lake to head south to Tewahca.[3]
