Lathin's Cut was a short,[3][5] hard-packed dirt and gravel paved,[1] alleyway in the Trades Ward of Waterdeep.[1][2][3][4]
Geography[]
This alleyway ran in a straight line west from the High Road,[1][2][3][4] cutting through Jembril Street,[1][2][3][4] and ended on the west side of Burdag Lane.[2]
History[]
Lathin's Cut was named after the man who had his own home leveled,[3][5] upon his death,[5] to create the empty space the alleyway occupied as he wished to make it easier for the devout to reach the Plinth.[3][5]
Notable Locations[]
- The Plinth
- An all-faiths temple and the only temple in all of the Trades Ward.[6]
Reputation[]
Lathin's Cut was considered by locals to be a landmark. Both they and visitors to Waterdeep often rendezvoused at the alley.[3]
