Lidahan was a language spoken by the inhabitants of the jungles and valleys of the Shao Mountains of southwestern Kara-Tur. The nine largest valleys each had their own dialect, the most sophisticated and developed of which was that of the Mahasiswa people of the Kesasar Valley.[1]

Notes[]
Ronin Challenge provides a list of common Lidahan words, but these are all taken from Indonesian.
In "Kara-Tur: Ancestor Feats and Martial Arts Styles" in Dragon #315, the Bavanese and Bertanese languages are also suggested to be based on Indonesian (or Filipino), suggesting a possible, hypothetical connection between them.
