Lok was one of the most powerful men in Ulatos. He was always close to the ruler Caxal during times of war.^[1]^{[page needed]}

In 1361 DR, soon after the arrival of the Golden Legion's ships, Lok was called by Caxal to a war council with the leader of the Jaguar Knights, Gultec, to discuss how to fight the strangers.^[1]^{[page needed]}
