We wish we could say it was mostly into those strange other-world matters of real life, but more often than not it was just other areas of wiki life, as well as ample castings of forget spells. Work on The Forgotten Realms Wiki Presents Juniper's Companion to Venturesome Cookery is taking up a lot of our focus and energy and some things have gone on hold, yet it's nearing completion and we can't wait to show you all this big beautiful cookbook of ours. - ItalianKarsus visited Shadowdale, stopping by Warmfires House for a meal cooked by Rendal Ironguard and Crown & Raven Scriveners to have work done by Maervidal Iloster, but apparently got involved in some Zhentish intrigues when he drank some bad wine served by Nildon Baraejhe. We hope he recovers soon.
- SunderedShor took a trip aboard the Blue Glaucus submarine, only to be marooned at the bottom of the sea. Fortunately, this gave plenty of time to learn psionics from a spiritualist: aura sight, body weaponry, among others, and astral projection and metamorphosis might come in handy for an escape.
- ChloeLorde ventured into the ruins of Myth Drannor, donning cloak of sunlight, breath of vitality, the boots called Death's Deferral, and the belt known as Ophael's cincture for protection. She followed the directions of the guide Weikko Brightbeam, battled the undead dwarves of the Eternal Brigade and won a set of bracers of the battlerager, and finally confronted the glabrezu demon Zun'thar the Unbound.
- Artemaz is having a hot time in the City of Brass, entering via the Magma Gate and the Iskalat district, and having a cool-ish drink or three on the Street of the Vine. He took in the view of the flaming Naranj Canal, visited the Plaza of the Silver Chariot and the Palazzo of Stamping Hooves, and wisely avoided Scorpion Alley (it was full of scorpions).
- We say well met to Aeliren, who's been exploring Cormyr and met Magistrate Cornelius Latrimor and Oversword Edric Crastmere of Wheloon, the mysterious peasant girl Ana Brabener of Eveningstar, and the well-named treasure hunter Oriphaun Huntsilver. Aeliren also toured Granwell Keep and Beckside Castle.
- We've got a lot of other new editors to welcome too: Emperorkangxi told as all about the land of Laothan in Malatra; Shulllk heard the tale of the Beast Lord, the ghostly druid Voolad Espiral, while BedlamMarching was frightened off by the ghost of the Sharran priestess Eshayben; M. Alacant traded with Furjur the Flippant; PatoFR voyaged to Thay aboard the Shadovar flying fortress enclave Kolthunral; StorytellerMars adventured with the thri-kreen ranger Kalix; Pandinal read The Making of a Good Tyrant; and AntonKutovoi kept warm beneath a cloak of the yeti.
- And we welcome back others: Topaztube was transformed into a stone cursed creature; Darkwynters was robbed by the apostate cleric Krastius the Heretic; Lurker Z escaped the slaver Hafkris; and Eoliao sailed into Remichispace aboard a spelljammer.

To Cormyr, Ilbratha was one of the Lost Swords of State. It was commissioned by Azoun I and went with him on campaign against the kingdom of Valashar in the Year of the Leaping Hare, 376 DR. Ilbratha rallied the troops, becoming a symbol of power and of Azoun's victory over the Shoon Imperium. But it was lost in the wreck of the prince's ship, Valashar's Bane, then was rediscovered then lost, time and again.
Finally, it went under the waves again, becoming Haalorth, "the Warrior's Fang". It was swung by Tarag, a sea ogre chieftain and builder of the Axe Kingdoms. Then, famously, it was borne by the merfolk princes and princesses of Eadraal for some seven centuries, as the official Heir's Blade. Finally, in the Year of the Gauntlet, 1369 DR, the mermaid warrior princess Jian wielded it in battle against the conquering wereshark Iakhovas, until she was slain and the blade lost to history.

The famed sextet of adventurers, Bobby, Diana, Eric, Hank, Sheila, and Presto, appear in Shadowdale after somehow arriving from a different world. During their journeys, they had befriended the magical unicorn, Uni, and even faced off against Tiamat herself. Now in Faerûn, they meet the Old Mage, Elminster, and the wizard of the group becomes his apprentice. Elminster and his new student explore the Realms, where they observe legends such as Drizzt Do'Urden and Qilué Veladorn, and even meet the well-known storyteller, Volothamp Geddarm.

...it is 15 Flamerule, or the 15th of Summertide. Selûne is a new moon . On this day:
- In 714 DR, the Weeping War climaxed in the Banes' Duel between Captain Fflar Starbrow Melruth of Myth Drannor and the nycaloth Aulmpiter, leader of the Army of Darkness. Both were destroyed in a magical explosion, leaving both armies without a leader. The Army of Darkness engulfed Myth Drannor, overwhelming the defenders with numbers and brutality. Barely 200 elves and allies out of 3000 defenders escaped the Fall of Myth Drannor.
Realmslore
- Flamsterd was a powerful wizard and sage who resided on the island that bore his name in the Moonshaes. A good-hearted eccentric, he was devoted to arcane research and was the inventor of the spell Flamsterd's flamestrike.
- Westar was King's Herald of Arabel, Cormyr, and a member of the Heralds of Faerûn. He helped Lady Lord Myrmeen Lhal manage the city in a hundred different ways, including recording taxes, deeds, and even the city's births and deaths.
- Zel'i was a githyanki child encountered by the Absolute Adversaries when they visited Crèche Y'llek. Although she was raised in the military culture of the githyanki, Zel'i displayed an innocent and mischievous nature.
- Hungtse Province was the most highly populated and most thoroughly cultivated province of Shou Lung. The local silk industry was the single biggest and most profitable industry in all of Kara-Tur.
- The Underdark Arena was a fighting pit in the Underdark below Cormyr where ring master Azena'ar pitted captured villagers and Purple Dragons against sundry foes. Later on, the red dragon Aptoryx took over the arena and set up a similar operation with planar beings.
- Snails were simple mollusks found both on land and in water. Generally quite docile, snails were a staple food in many parts of the Realms. The drow of Menzoberranzan enjoyed steamed and spiced snails, while Calishites and Suzailans preferred snail soup.
- Mantari were much like manta rays, but rather than swimming through the seas, they flew through the air. They usually dined on giant rats and their like, but would attack humans when hungry enough.
- Woe striders were aberrant creatures that resembled giant yellow caterpillars. Several of the goliaths of Wyrmdoom Crag were transformed into woe striders by Far Realm energies brought from the Abeiran city of Xorvintroth.
- Mica was a type of stone sometimes used as a substitute for glass in windows. Experienced stonecrafters, especially dwarves and gnomes, could cut mica into thin sheets allowing them to be set in window stalls.
- The Night Mages was a nocturnal band of sorcerers sent by Felodar Aumar to seize the realm of Athalantar from the ruling Magelords. The last of their group, Orthalar, kept opposing the Magelords even eight years after Felodar's passing.
