Chancellor Makin al-Mutrattab[note 1] was an inhabitant of Huzuz, the City of Delights, in 1367 DR, and a member of the royal family.[note 2][1][2]
Personallity[]
Chancellor Makin possessed a strong sense of right and wrong.[1]
Activities[]
Makin was in charge of the Footmen, the city watch of Huzuz.[1] One day he was invited to a meeting with members of the House of Al-Hakar to discuss back taxes. The meeting was just a ruse and Makin was kidnapped by a pair of earthservants working for a sinister yikarian called the Unspeakable. The Unspeakable had the Watcher, a fellow yikarian, possess Makin's mind and body, allowing him close access to the Grand Caliph. As of 1367 DR, the ruse had been going on for several years without anyone within the palace noticing the possession.[2]
History[]
During the adventuring days of Khalil al-Assad al-Zahir, before he became the Grand Caliph, Makin always accompanied his cousin on daring expeditions. The two were quite close from childhood through adulthood.[2]
