Maple was a type of broad-leafed deciduous tree.[4][5]

Varieties[]

The red maple could be found in the midwood area of the forest of Cormanthor.[6]

Habitats[]

Usage[]

Maple wood could be used to construct farming tools such as pitchforks, shovels, and winnowing flails. It was also a popular wood used in the construction of mapcases.[2]

Sap from maple trees was used as a sweetener[1] and to produce sugar.[3] The thick syrup produced from the sap had a similar taste to q'laari, a naturally occurring fluid from the 531st layer of the Abyss that had poison-neutralizing properties.[16]
