Mashida Kowa was a Korobokuru retainer of Goshukara clan in Nakamaru around 1357 DR.[1]


Many that despite Kowa's heritage and skills considered him an ill-begotten upstart. He however attempted to live his life as a normal human and was extremely sensitive towards racial slights.[1]


Kowa born in the wooded mountains beyond Nakamaru but for his qualities was adopted in the Mashida clan. Under them he became a rising samurai with a potentially brilliant future.[1] In 1357 Oka Yoshinaka and Kowa clashed with Gamo brothers[2]


Kowa was an exceptional person. He possessed prodigious strength, quick mind, and biting wit [1]
