Master of Chains is a Forgotten Realms novel by Jess Lebow and the first book in The Fighters series, which focuses on heroes of the Fighter class and different combat styles. As such, it is likely inspired by the Master of Chains prestige class in Sword and Fist and the spiked chain.

Once he had a beautiful wife.
Once he was a hero.
But that was before he got caught, beaten down, nearly killed, and sold into slavery.
Now he has nothing but hate and the chains of his bondage: the only weapons he has with which to escape.
Synopsis[]
The novel is set in Erlkazar and follows the brothers Liam and Ryder of the Crimson Awl rebels as they oppose the vampire Shyressa of the Twisted Rune and Lord Purdun of Ahlarkhem.
