Megalosaurus (pronounced: /mɛgɑːloʊˈsɑːrʌs/ meg-a-lo-SAR-us[5]), also known as little tyrant on the Malatran Plateau,[1] was a carnivorous species of dinosaur.[2]
Description[]
Megalosaurs were a type of carnosaur and smaller than their cousins the allosaurus and tyrannosaurus. It had a large jaw filled with razor-sharp teeth. Their claws were not as sharp.[2]
Combat[]
Megalosaurs primarily targeted sauropods as prey. They attacked with their strong jaw to drag a target to the ground.[2]
Biology[]
Megalosaurs were carnivores and lived alone. Unlike most carnosaurs, they were capable of walking on all fours.[2]

Notes[]
- ↑ The 2nd edition alignment given in the original source is "Nil", which should be read as Neutral according to this Sage Advice answer by Skip Williams in Dragon Magazine Issue #155: "The nil alignment rating is a holdover from an early draft of the Monstrous Compendium material. Originally, a rating of nil indicated that a creature was not intelligent enough to have an alignment at all. However, the nil rating was dropped during rewriting and should have been replaced with the neutral alignment."
