Matron Merrigold Hlath was the de facto leader of the noble patriar Hlath family of Baldur's Gate in the late 15th century DR.[1]

By the Year of Three Ships Sailing, 1492 DR, Lord Orthagon Hlath was already an old man who was the leader of the family in name only. Merrigold was making all financial and social discussions for the family in Orthagon's place.[1]
