Mhzentul (pronounced: /mɑːˈzɛntʊl/ mah-ZEN-tul[1]) was a powerful and well-respected mage who wandered the Realms in latter half of the 13th century and early 14th century DR. Although he spent much of his time traveling,[1] he was known to have kept a hidden abode in some unnamed mountain range.[2]
Activities[]
During his years traveling Faerûn, Mhzentul spent much of his time studying arcanespells that involved the conjuring of flames, the creation of magical rings.[2]
He was famed for creating the Seven Lost Rings of Mhzentul, each of which contained extremely powerful magic.[3]
History[]
Mhzentul died at the Battle of River Rising, after he transformed himself into a pillar of living flame.[4] His legacy lived on his famed book, titled Mhzentul's Runes.[1]
