Monkeys were tree-dwelling primates. Unlike other primates, some monkeys had tails. They were mostly found in warm forests and jungles but a few species could also live in tundras.[citation needed]
While some monkeys were vicious in groups, most would attempt to flee from a fight, climbing a tree to escape any predators.[1]
