Mount Akka was a mountain in the Alpuk region of the Great Glacier.[1]
Geography[]
Mount Akka was a tall mountain, up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) in elevation, with a double peak. It was located in the southern edge of the Surykyk Range. Within the mountain is a network of interconnected caverns.[1]
Flora & Fauna[]
Mount Akka was a popular nesting grounds for wild kupuk. Kupuk made nests and laid their eggs with the caves under the mountain. The caves provided shelter from the weather and protection from predators.[1]
