Muffins were a variety of baked goods found across the Realms, sometimes eaten with a cup of tea[2] or served for morningfeast with a side of fruit.[4]
Description[]
Muffin were small handfoods and some were flavored with blueberries, and even poppy seed. Occasionally, muffins were used to smuggle secret messages or items hidden within.[9][8]
Availability[]
Muffins were served with tea at the Royal Arms inn in Luskan[2] and Icewind Dale,[3] and were commonly served as a morningfeast food in Westgate on the Dragon Coast[4][10] and in Mulmaster on the Moonsea.[5]
In Tegal's Mark in the Dalelands, The Markhouse inn offered its guest complimentary muffins, biscuits, and chilled berry juice.[1] Similarly, the Crescent Moon Inn of Ravens Bluff in the Vast offered its guests muffins free of charge.[11]
Outside of the Prime Material plane, muffins were among the morningfeast bounty served in Finder Wyvernspur's realm of Fermata in Arborea.[7]
History[]
In the mid–14th century DR, Sheila's Incredible Edibles stall sold the best baked goods in all of Ylraphon in the Vast, including muffins.[6]
