Net of shadows was a spell used by sorcerers and wizards[1][2] and by the adepts of the Grodd goblins.[3]
Effects[]
With this spell, a caster could blind a creature by using ordinary shadows. The shadows flew to the creature and wrapped them in a net of darkness. Within this net, the creature was unable to see anything beyond 5 ft (1.5 m). Darkvision was rendered useless. The net of shadow did not hinder the creature's movement.[1][2]

This spell required only verbal and somatic components.[1]
