Nightsinger's mantles were enchanted Sharran cloaks worn by the servants of the goddess, her shadar-kai, and rogues of Returned Netheril in the 15th century DR.[1][note 1]
Powers[]
A Nightsinger's mantle was woven with the necromantic magics of the Shadow Weave and embodied the song of Shar, giving the wearer's sonic spells the ability to blind victims and greatly improving their skill in performing and entertainment. Additionally, the wearer was made immune to being blinded themselves.[1]
History[]
In the 15th century DR, Nightsinger's mantles were worn by the agents of Returned Netheril in their attempts to conquer the town of Wheloon in Cormyr.[1]

- ↑ Menace of the Underdark (including Web of Chaos) is dated to the period of 1484–1485 DR, as it references the ongoing Darkening. Shadowfell Conspiracy (including Disciples of Shadow, Shadow Under Thunderholme, The Druid's Deep, and The High Road of Shadows) are dated to the same period, as they are stated to take place at roughly the same time as Menace of the Underdark.
