Nim was a nimblewright at the House of Inspired Hands in Waterdeep in the early 1490s DR.[1]

Nim was built by a Lantanese wizard who, during a visit to Waterdeep, decided to donate him to the local church of Gond. Out of loneliness and boredom, Nim started creating his own inventions.[1]

In 1492 DR,[note 1] Nim created a nimblewright that went rogue and escaped from the temple. It was possible that some adventurers, investigating the blast that killed the gnome Dalakhar, discovered the involvement of the rogue construct in the attack. When informed about it, the cleric of Gond Valetta decided to strip Nim of all his construction materials.[1]

  1. Canon material does not provide a year for the events described in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, but Christopher Perkins answered a question via Twitter and stated the year was 1492 DR. Unless a canon source contradicts this assertion, this wiki will use 1492 DR for events related to this sourcebook and Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage (which is referenced on pages 5 and 98 of Dragon Heist).
