Noanar was a Netherese arcanist of the Silver Age.[1]
Description[]
The Fire Warden was a talented arcanist who specialized in fire-based magic.[1]
History[]
Noanar was born in 1505 NY (−2354 DR) south of Netheril and became a wanderer of north Faerûn. After much travelling, the arcanist settled in Canlespiere. In 1535 NY (−2324 DR), the archwizard Ioulaum bestowed upon Noanar the title of "Fire Warden". Noanar later developed much of the well-known fire-based spells that were used around the Realms.[1] The first of these was fire trap, which was developed in 1540 NY (−2319 DR). This was followed by wall of fire, fire shield, delayed blast fireball, and finally, fireball.[2] Noanar practiced his spells on ogres around Canlespiere. However, he was killed in a skirmish with these ogres in 1559 NY (−2300 DR).[1]
