Olorus was a Red Wizard of Thay in the mid-14th century DR.[1]
Appearance[]
The man was thin and pale, with white hair and brows of a wintry hue. His pupils were yellow.[1][note 1]
Relationships[]
He was part of a cabal together with Thaltar Glaervar, Dlamaerztus, Norlarram, Quaerlesz, Iyrtaryld, and six other Red Wizards.[1]
History[]
In 1369 DR, Iyrtaryld was smoking at a meeting with several of his fellow Red Wizards, where Iyrtaryld demonstrated an illusion of his newest magical development, the Hungry Mouth: a spell to snatch anything that wasn't nailed down into a portal, bringing it to Thay with them. His plan was to eat whatever couldn't be coerced to work. While he got some feedback on it, the table at which they sat was hurled upwards by a colossal entity made of stone which smashed its fist down on him, killing him instantly. That was the Simbul's doing.[1]

Notes[]
- ↑ In the part where Olorus is killed, a pale, thin wizard speaks; later, Olorus is described as pale and thin. Though there may be more than one pale, thin wizard in the scene, this article is written under the assumption that the narration describes only one such.
