Otto the Great was a human wizard and cleric from Oerth who was mostly known to people of Toril from his irresistible dance spell.[3]
Description[]
He had brown curly hair and goatee.[1]
Personality[]
A vain and foppish man, he would impress people with his good mood and refined tastes.[1]
Possessions[]
Otto fought with an enchanted footman's flail, and a wand of conjuration, while wearing a pair of boots of speed, rings of feather falling and wizardry and a medallion of thoughts.[1]
History[]
A former priest of the Oerthian deity Boccob, he became a member of Mordenkainens Circle of Eight.[4]
At some point before the late 15th century DR, Otto's Amulet of the Devout ended up stored in the trapped and secured vault underneath the Stormshore Tabernacle, a non-denominational shrine in Baldur's Gate in the Year of Three Ships Sailing, 1492 DR. If anyone was daring or foolish enough to rob the temple and steal Otto's amulet, they were castigated by the divinities of the Realms, sending devas and cambions to end their lives.[5]
