Periapts of wisdom were common magical amulets that were often used by high-ranking clerics.[1]
Description[]
Upon examination, these periapts appeared to be simple light chains with one hanging pearl.[1]
Powers[]
Periapts of wisdom varied in its enchantment strength, but all shared one single purpose - they magically enhanced the user's wisdom, improving their perception and insight. Due to this, periapts of wisdom were often sought after by clerics to use as meditative tools.[1]
History[]
Circa the Year of Wild Magic, 1372 DR, during the Wailing Death epidemic in Neverwinter, periapts of wisdom of lower enchantment strength were quite widely-spread. Merchant Husher Clay sold +3 periapts in the trading post in Beorunna's Well. And much stronger +5 amulets were in possession of Oleff Uskar, the priest of Tyr at the Hall of Justice in Neverwinter.[1] Periapts of wisdom were also sold in the Temple of Lathander of Westgate in the Year of Lightning Storms, 1374 DR.[2]
