The Pixie language, also referred to as Pixieish,[1][2] was the racial language of pixies.[3][4][5]
Speakers[]
Beyond pixies themselves, Pixie was a common secondary language in Faerûn among forest gnomes, lightfoot halflings, rock gnomes, and tallfellow halflings.[6] Beyond demihumans, Pixie was also commonly spoken by other fey creatures, such as their fellow sprites the atomies and grigs,[7] brownies,[8] dobies,[9] dryads[10][11] and hamadryads,[12] gorse faeries,[13] quicklings,[14] and the pixie-like stwingers.[15] Beyond sylvan creatures, the Pixie language was commonly known by faerie dragons[16] and kercpas.[17]
Pixie was also fairly common as a secondary language among most druids,[18] including those devoted to certain nature deities.[19][20][21][22][23] Such as the druids of Chauntea,[19][24] druids of Eldath,[20] druids and druid/rangers of Mielikki,[21] the druids of Silvanus,[22] and the druids of Sheela Peryroyl.[23] Other forms of specialty priests in the Realms for whom Pixie was a commonly known secondary language were the Eldathyn peacemen.[20]
