Porcelain golems were a rare variety of golem made from porcelain. They were more ornate than other forms of golem.[1]

Description[]

Porcelain golems were very large animated constructs. They were white in color and decorated with a blue floral pattern.[1]

Behavior[]

When a porcelain golem was surprised, they blinked. When it was prevented from the task given to it, it moved violently and made loud roaring noises.[1]

History[]

In the Year of the Falling Moon, 1217 DR, a porcelain golem was given the task of protecting the Sun Gem in the Blade Kingdom of Sumbria. It remained stationary, holding the gem, and was surrounded by many guards. Gilberto Ilego threw a makeshift bomb containing smokepowder and dust of darkness towards the golem, in an attempt to steal the Sun Gem. However, in the darkness, it was actually the firebird Tekoriikii who stole the gem from right out of the golem's grasp.[1]

The golem lost control of its actions, and moved erratically through the field of darkness while a guard who had climbed on top of it was trying to catch Tekoriikii. But the cheeky firebird evaded all this and escaped with the diamond.[1]
