Potions of rainbow hues were a type of potion that affected a user's skin tone.[6][7]
Description[]
A potion of rainbow hues had a syrupy consistency and was always stored within a metallic container.[6][7]
Powers[]
After consumption of a potion of rainbow hues one needed to concrete upon a certain color or combination of colors. Doing so their skin tone would take on that very hue. The imbiber could virtually any color or combination.
These potions typically had enough liquid within for seven swigs, each lasting a period of one hour. Alternatively, one could swallow the entire potion to obtain its effect for a full seven hours.[6][7]
History[]
In the 14th century DR, a traveling mercantile store in the Mooney And Sons Circus known as Glitz's And Klax's Potions And Philters would sell potions that had one-tenth their normal power. This included potions of rainbow hues.[8]
Creation[]
A feather from the golden tail of a simurgh could be used as an ingredient in potions of rainbow hues.[9] As well as water that had been exposed to a rainbow.[2]
