Prismatic eye was an alteration and evocation spell that caused a visible, directable orb, very much resembling a wizard eye, to appear over the shoulder of the caster.[2]
Effects[]
The eye could be commanded by the caster to travel around and share its vision with them. At regular intervals,[2] it could be commanded to emit a pencil-thin ray of contrasting lights, similar to a color spray at a target. This ray could render creatures unconscious or stunned. Alternatively, the eye could be willed to emit a ray of light as per the spell of the same name.[4]
The prismatic eye could be destroyed by normal, non-magical means.[4]
Components[]
The material components of this spell were a dried, or preserved, eyeball and a polished slice of abalone, oyster, or tortoise shell.[4]
