The Procampur City Expansion Packet was a document released for the Living City organized play program run by the RPGA in 1997. The Player's Edition expands on the existing city of Procampur in the Vast for use as background in RPGA campaigns.[1][2][3]
In 1997, the RPGA announced the Procampur Project: an expansion for Living City set in the city of Procampur, Jewel of the Vast, overseen by the Universe Construction Company (a group of Living City designers; UCC) led by Jay Fisher and Daniel Cooper. They were split into a City Development Team (responsible for the design of the city and its lore) and a Tournament Development Team (responsible for creating the tournament adventures).[1][3]
The initial plan was for a 10-part (or 11-part[3]) series of connected adventures set in the Jewel of the Vast—what would eventually be known as the Cracked Jewel Saga—but the team was also open to adventure submissions not related to the main storyline.[1][2][3] While players could submit adventures, locations, and characters for Procampur to the UCC, the city was not player-controlled like Ravens Bluff was and all material needed to be approved by TSR.[2]
The Expansion Packet was first made available at Gen Con 1997.[2]

The events of the Living City Ravens Bluff campaign took place on a timeline that advanced together with the real world's time. Even though all Living City adventures and issues of Ravens Bluff Trumpeter were dated with real-world dates, there were events that received a DR year. The Living City timeline can be derived from Myrkyssa Jelan's historic events of the late 14th century DR. Myrkyssa Jelan attacked Ravens Bluff in 1370 DR, according to The City of Ravens Bluff and Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting 3rd edition; these events are chronicled in an in-and-out of universe issues of Ravens Bluff Trumpeter. This places the real world year 1997 as 1370 DR, and in 1998 (1371 DR), Myrkyssa was at last arrested and tried and said to have been executed, only to reappear in 1372 DR in The City of Ravens novel. As the real world's months and the Calendar of Harptos are virtually identical, we can also date all events of the Living City Ravens Bluff as close as an in-universe month.
