Protection from paralysis was an abjuration spell used by wizards.[1][2]
Effects[]
This spell offered complete protection to the recipient from all forms of magical paralysis. In addition to protecting from spells such as hold person, the spell also protected against similar attacks from monsters such as a ghoul's paralyzing touch. The spell offered no protection from physical harm from monster attacks.[1][2]
Components[]
In addition to verbal and somatic components, this spell required a bit of cloth from a cleric's robes to cast.[1][2]
History[]
This spell was originally developed in the Underdark, but later on found usage by some on the surface.[3]
