Ray of paralysis was a necromancy spell that materialized a narrow beam of energy that caused paralysis within a single target creature or person.[1]
Effects[]
The ray emanated from the caster, appearing as a green beam of light the width of an arrow shaft that shot forth in a straight path towards the spell's target. If the target dodged the ray of paralysis,[1] it could possibly strike another object or being. Any creature struck by the ray lost control of their body for a matter of seconds to over a minute.[2]
Casting[]
The casting of this spell required verbal and somatic components.[1]
History[]
This spell was known to be used by wizards of the Cult of the Dragon.[1]
