Reidoth was a druid who spent much time in the village of Thundertree and was a member of the Emerald Enclave in the late 15th century DR.[1]

Description[]

The druid had a white beard, and was lean and haggard. He was said to know a lot about the land and locations in the nearby area. He did not receive many adventurers, and was rather tight-lipped. He was able to take the form of a squirrel if attacked, allowing him to swiftly scamper away.[1]

Relationships[]

He was old friends with Qelline Alderleaf.[1]

History[]

Circa the Year of the Scarlet Witch, 1491 DR,[note 1] Reidoth set out from Phandalin to the ruined village of Thundertree. After discovering the village was teeming with ash zombies and twig blights, he put up a sign near the entrance, warning adventurers of the horrors.[1]

Reidoth made camp in a building to the southwest of the village. The building was in much better condition than the others, and had iron bands and wooden shutters lining the windows. The druid had seen cultists and even a green dragon in the area, and he wished it would clear out of Thundertree.[1]

Appendix[]

Notes[]

  1. Pages 30‒31 of Lost Mine of Phandelver describe the eruption of Mount Hotenow (1451 DR) as occurring "30 years ago", which would place the adventure in 1481 DR. When the adventure was later remade into Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk, this 30 year time frame was kept (pages 50 & 53). However, pages 103 and 179 of Acquisitions Incorporated, a source published after the former, state that the events described in the adventure happen five years after both Lost Mine of Phandelver and Princes of the Apocalypse. Since the latter is explicitly set in 1491 DR, and considering this answer by Ed Greenwood about dating the adventure, this wiki will use 1491 DR for events related to both versions of the adventure.
