Remichispace was a large star system in wildspace named after the planet Remichi. The system played a major role in the war against the Xaryxian Empire.[1]
Description[]
The system consisted of one or two stars at its center and at least four planets: Beloria, Byzunoz, Remichi, and a fourth unnamed planet. The system also supported an asteroid belt known as Basalt's Belt, which contained the asteroid Omomia. Also situated within the system was the asteroid Zar'bos. The system possessed few if any large settlements and was largely populated with temporary inhabitants and non-sentient creatures.[1]
The Solar System[]
Baloria[]
Baloria was a lush and rocky Toril-sized earth body located at a comfortable distance for sustaining life and, as a result, exhibited a temperate climate. The world was known for a massive spelljamming ship that crashed onto its surface ages before the late 1400s DR. It was occasionally bombarded with cosmic magic due to a starburst from another nearby system. These cosmic flares could cause passing ships to malfunction and crash onto the surface.[1]
The planet at one point become populated by astral elves loyal to Emperor Xavan, due to a group of Xaryxian defectors, known as the Mutineer Underground, becoming based on the planet after being forced to crash their ships. The loyal astral elves at one point planted an astral seed on the world for destruction, though it was quickly destroyed. Eventually the astral elves left the planet.[1]
Byzunov[]
Byzunov was a massive ringed spherical earth body covered with sulfur pools that emitted noxious fumes into its atmosphere. The star of the system cast a faint ominous glow on the surface of the world. The carbon planet temporarily became the site of a conflict between a group of space orcs and space elves at war. The orcs and elves reached a state of peace. The astral elves of Xaryxis briefly targeted the world for destruction through the planting of an astral seed on its rocky landscape, before ultimately being stopped.[1]
Basalt's Belt[]
A string of rocky asteroids, consisting of large basalt deposits. This asteroid belt was formed ages ago from a great collision between two young planets, which caused pieces of cooling magma to fly into wildspace. One of these asteroids was Omomia.[1]
Omomia[]
Omomia was an irregular earth body mostly consisting of dark colored basalt rock and water pools. it also lacked an atmosphere. A group of astral seafaring priests, worshipers of the Plane of Water, took residence there many years before 1479 DR. They considered the asteroid sacred and was originally named by the goddess Persana. The native inhabitants of the rock were kuo-toa, who were regularly targeted by the priests who lived there. The priests previously worshiped an aboleth who'd called the place home, before murdering it as a result of its aggressive behavior and as a test of its divinity.[1]
Remichi[]
Remichi was a dry desert earth body located far away from the star of the system. Deep in its two-hundred-year orbit, the planet was regularly covered in darkness, and all moisture had evaporated into space long before, leaving the planet dry. The planet and its native beings were very old. Remains of the original inhabitants' civilization and their structures were still found on the surface. The beings who'd built these were once of flesh before changing over time and evolving to lose their physical form and becoming imperceptible beings. The beings were sometimes extracted of aberration essence, which was sold for exuberant prices and used for energy. The beings on the planet had the magical ability to prevent spelljamming ships from traveling off the planet.[1]
In the late 1400s DR, a group of mercane landed on the world looking for riches to plunder and resources to exploit. Astral elves of the Xaryxian Empire were also seen on the planet and attempted to demolish its ancient ruins for unknown purposes.[1]
Other Astronomical Bodies[]
Zar'bos[]
A tidally locked and dimly lit irregular earth body, mostly devoid of life, Zar'bos was located one day's travel to a nearby planet. The asteroid was inhabited by a large colony of mind flayers located on the surface and deep within the body, as well as an unusually large elder brain. A band of githzerai traveled from their home in Limbo to the place in order to eliminate the illithid threat.[1]
Unnamed Planet[]
A planet that was one day's travel to Zar'bos and hosted a population of many duergar. The population on the planet provided the illithids on Zar'bos with a steady supply of beings to subjugate as thralls.[1]
Inhabitants[]
A number of notable inhabitants resided or are associated with Remichispace, including:
- General Caila Eanor, commander of the Mutineer Underground.[1]
- Grand Master Nasraka, leader of a group of githzerai who traveled to Zar'bos to eliminate a mind flayer colony.[1]
- Vicar Aenon, notable member of the astral priests of Omomia.[1]
- Qar'zah, a mercane who became stranded on Remichi.[1]

Notes[]
- ↑ While Neverwinter: Spelljammer does not state the Remichispace system is a crystal sphere explicitly, its description matches the definition as set out in earlier Spelljammer setting material.
