Rick Brill was a game designer who has worked for the Role Playing Game Association network as the Campaign Director of Information for the Living City by 2001[4][5] and was among game testers for the 4th edition of Dungeons & Dragons.[6] Before that, Rick was a member of the Grevbeards, an RPGA players' group that participated in the Living City program as players in 1995[7] and 1996.[8] As of 1998, Rick's player character was Sir Jean-Dorial Encarthan, Knight Commander of the Griffon Guard.[9]

Richard was born in Superior, WI to Roger and Jann Brill on October 7, 1970. He graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with business and english degrees. He married Toni Winslow in 2006, with whom he had a daughter – Samantha. Rick took the position of IT Director for Labovitz School of Business and Economics in 2010. He passed away on September 27, 2015, at the age of 44 after suffering a tragic accent in Hermanton, MN. Richard was buried in Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.[3][1]

Rick penned several Living City adventure modes, including For Sale in 1998, On Guard and Before Its Time in 1999. Apart from Living City, Rick contributed to Living Greyhawk, including Dorakaa adventure module.
