The River Scelptar was a large river that flowed from the Qurth Forest in the northeast of the Border Kingdoms to the Shining Sea in the southwest, a distance of approximately 300 miles. The mouth of the river was called simply Scelptarmouth.[1]
The River Rith was a tributary from the north, connecting about 100 miles inland. The towns of Blackbarn, Dapplegate, and Oeble were on the banks of the River Scelptar.[1]
