The River Scelptar is a large river that flows from the Qurth Forest in the northeast of the Border Kingdoms to the Shining Sea in the southwest, a distance of approximately 300 miles. The mouth of the river is called simply Scelptarmouth.
The River Rith is a tributary from the north, connecting about 100 miles inland. The towns of Blackbarn, Dapplegate and Oeble are on the banks of the River Scelptar.[1]
