Scare, which was originally called Hamring's scare,[1] was an arcane necromancy spell used induce fear in several creatures.[3] Clerics of Bane, Ghaunadaur, Gruumsh, Set, and Urdlen were also granted the ability to cast this spell.[10][11]
Effects[]
This spell caused a number of creatures within 30 feet of each other and within medium range of the caster to become frightened or shaken for a number of seconds.[3]
Components[]
A bone from an undead creature, such as a ghoul, ghast, mummy, skeleton, or zombie was required to cast this spell, in addition to verbal and somatic components.[3]
History[]
The spell was invented by Netherese arcanist Hamring in −1294 DR, the same year he invented his enfeeblement spell.[12]
